Meet the Team

Nick LaLonde
Co-Owner
Sterkel’s Auto Design

Nick doesn’t turn wrenches—but he sure knows how to keep the shop busy. As the guy behind the ideas (some better than others, depending who you ask), Nick handles the creative direction, networking, and big-picture vision at Sterkel’s. The crew says he’s not afraid of hard work—“Hell, he’ll lay down right beside it and take a nap.” Hence the nickname: Nick Naps.

After six years as an Air Force crew chief working on jets like F15s and F35s, Nick shifted into real estate in 2016. That opened the door to finally start building the custom vehicles he grew up obsessing over. Fast forward a few years, and he’s now helping lead one of the most exciting custom shops around.

His favorite build so far? A gutted and repainted 2024 F-450 on 30s with an AnyLevel lift that nearly missed its debut—mostly because he fell asleep during crunch time. Old-school builds are his thing, especially taking rusted-out junk and giving it a modern edge.

When he’s not selling houses or pushing the team to try something crazy, Nick’s spending time with his wife and son—usually still thinking about trucks.

Cody Sterkel
Co-Owner
Sterkel’s Auto Design

Hello! I’m Cody Sterkel, the proud owner of Sterkel’s Auto Design. My journey into the world of automotive design began in high school when I realized my passion for customizing vehicles. I wanted the ability to transform cars into something uniquely mine, and that spark ignited my career in paint and bodywork.

My path started with a construction company where I honed my painting skills by ensuring their trucks were in top shape. In 2012, I took a leap into the collision repair industry, where I developed my craft further. After spending a few years in Lawton, Oklahoma, I relocated to Yukon to pursue my career more vigorously. Just a short while later, in 2017, I found myself in Edmond, where I continued to grow my skills and knowledge until I made the exciting decision to open my own shop in 2021.

At Sterkel’s Auto Design, I am dedicated to ensuring our shop runs smoothly while also diving into paint and bodywork whenever needed. My goal is to create stunning and personalized vehicles that bring joy to our clients.

When I’m not at the shop, you’ll often find me cheering on my daughter at her softball games or my son at baseball. If the weekend allows, my family and I enjoy relaxing.

Thank you for visiting Sterkel’s Auto Design, where we turn visions into reality!
